I am looking to buy one of these boxes, does SKY restrict what you can watch through component?

Very few of them around now, as and when they break down, Sky are replacing them with HDMI only versions. As far as I know you can view everything via the component ouput.
 
Thanks for the info, I am trying to find one and as you say it is very difficult to find one!
