We have had our sky plus box for about a year. A few months ago on playback on some of the channels, when you were watching it would have the occasional sound problem, picture malfunctions. Now it has gotten worse on to many more channels with sound which distorts and mutes for seconds at a time throughout the program. It makes a funny noise in places too. Can anybody help? Thank you.

Well you should have had a good read of the section you would have found many other members having experienced such problems and could have left with their solutions to try. Generally if the HD is becoming noisy then your HD may be failing. If you have nothing important recorded you could try re-building the planner an option from the menu and see how you go. You may not be getting the available software updates which could be causing problem so you could try forcing one assuming you have a good signal strength. There are other tips available but the idea of a self help forum is that you read them.
