Sky receiver without a sub

My Satellite Setup
No satellite yet thinking of installing one. Normal Dell home computer
My Location
England
I have a sky dish and + box also card given to me by a friend. I am thinking of installing both but I do not wish to join sky. My question is what would I get on the TV without sky also could I connect my PVR via sky box and recieve freeview.:confused: Reason for dish is I am on fringe area and also hope to buy HD tv later
 
You will get all of the free channels.

Note - a satellite receiver will NOT give you FreeView - it will give you the free satellite channels. A small but very important distinction as the channel lineups are different..
