I just discovered some facinating information about a modification you can do to a SKY+ box that provides it with a digital video output suitable for feeding to the digital inputs on plasma/projection displays i.e. eliminating the D to A then A to D conversion.

Given that SKY+ has been "cutting edge" by providing optical digital audio outputs, I am surprised that the new generation machines are not now providing the digital video feature as standard given the proliferation of plasma/LCD and projection kit now on the market.
Does anyone in this forum have experience of this and would you recommend it? The screenshots certainly indicate a good improvement in picture quality.
