Hi,

i've moved into a flat that has a single sattelite cable coming into it, i've got sky+, and obviously i can only use one of the channels at once, is there any equipment i can buy that would allow the single line to be split? i've tried a standard splitter but the box said no signal recieved.

any help would be appreciated

thanks

Ben.

Do not try and split the lnb cable!

Ideally you want to get a quad lnb (4 output) and install a new cable run (or replace the existing cable with "shotgun" coax.)

However as you are in a flat you need to contact the building maintenance folk and ask for a second output to be fitted.

thanks, it'll probably cost me a fortune for a second line, but i'll see what they say

thanks again

If there is absolutely no chance of running a second cable and there happens to be a spare outlet up at the "top end" then you could investigate a device called the Johanssen Stacker.

But if you can run a second cable, do so.
