Dear friends,

Here in Athens we cannot receive Astra 2D and therefore we lose the interactive programming that is transmitted during the Champion League nights from the Sky Sports Xtra Multiscreen channels. I have heard from someone in the forum that the problem relies with the fact that when you press the red button on your remote the digibox tries to tune into the interactive menu screen (to select the match of your choice) that is transmitted through 2D, however at the same the individual games are transmitted through 2A and 11758H !!!!. As the digibix is unable to receive the menu screen it comes up with the technical error message.

If the above stands as correct, and by having in my possession my Dragon CAM and my official sky card I was wondering whether there is another way I can receive these individual “interactive” channels, by bypassing the menu screen ??!!

To tell you the truth I had tried in the past to manually search for these channels (using the Video and Audio pids listed in Lyngsat and Kingofsat for 11758H) however all I saw was black screen.

Have you got any ideas/suggestions/experience to the above. I understand that this has been a long-standing issue to a lot of people living outside the 2D beam.

You're quite right in saying freq.11758 H is used by Sky for interactive soccer. However if you try to tune them in on a digibox it will tell you "No channels found". You will need to use a different receiver and your dragon CAM. But you may also have a problem receiving any signal in your area as this transponder is on the Astra 2A north beam which I believe is hard to pick up in Greece.
Can you receive channels like Sky Sports News and Channel 4 (also on 2A North) in Athens??

Indeed I own a Sky digibox and also a Topfield with a Dragon cam. I am able to receive without any problems the signals from Astra 2A. I also know that the digibox (even if you do a manual search) will not be able to receive the interactive channels on 11758H (as it says "no channels found").

The thing is that with the dragon cam (and the official sky card) you are able to decrypt the Sky channels and therefore all I am trying to find out is whether I can receive them on my Topfield. As I wrote above when I tried to find the channels manually (by using the audio-video pids) the result was black screen.

Anyone having any experience on the above ? !

I don't have a Topfield but my receiver finds these channels automatically and I can view them with my dragon and predator 3.54 (with caid 0961).

What you say is very important for me and I thank you for that. However could you please make clear to me whether you were able to watch tonight (Wednesday) the champion league games that were shown through the 11758-interactive frequency ???
