Sky to NewBe Dreambox

Hi All

Please can someon help with this

I have connected a DREAMBOX 500s (no clone) to an existing sky disk spare connector.

Box boots up and setup begins

I set up the following
1 LMB
1 saterllite
Astra (19E) and manule scan o sacn ther options find no network

Displays show signal OK but I am confused with all settingsn because SKY dit it all.:mad:

All I want to do to with the dram box to start is to scan for and view free channels.

Can somone please advise what values I need to put into page

If you're looking for Sky UK, you're on the wrong satellite. You need to point to 28e not 19e.

Thanks for reply however bit confused

The dish is pointed OK beacause I can get SKY and FREESAT the only reason I set 19e is beacuse thats the only one the setup offers me

Am I missing somthing ?

Yes mate, you are. Go , Setup, Service Searching, Tuner Config. In Here set it to 28e.

Save and exit. Now when you go Setup, Service Searching, Manual Scan, you will have 28e. Select scan satellite and hit go.

I went into setup, service searching, but did not see Tuner config

What makes box see 19e only ?

Do I need to update firmware from orignal factory default to see this ?

No it should be there. It may not be worded exactly as that.

I see Satellite Config
(open gives only Astra 19e in pull down menu)

I see satfind
(open gives signal snr=60% agc= 84% No sat no transponder)

I see motor setup (not opened)

This is for the S.I.F 1.9.3 image on a DM600 but it should be more or less the same on most images for the 500 if memory serves me right.

Select-> menu -> 6

Select ->2 (Service searching)

select -> 1 (Satellite Configuration)

Select 1 single satellite from the drop down list.

You then select the correct satellite from the drop down list.

(Its not pictured exactly 100% as it should as i don't want to knacker up my motor settings. You will only see one dropdown box)
