hi a mate of mine has lost some channels on turk sat. sky turk, show turk, and ntv, i checked lyngsat and it says they are encrypted but when i checked flysat it said they are free to air. which site is correct as i can not check as my dish is obstructed at 42 degrees east. many thanks.

sky turk & show turk are running on my fta receiver:)

All three FTA when just checked:-

12524V
12530H
12717V

I had to enter transponder details manually for last one.

Robbo:)

that kinda answers my question then. i dont know why lyngsat are saying they are scrambled. can u get ntv as it say its encrypted in biss. many thanks for your help.

sorry robbo u replied as i was typing thanks for the help.

your mate has a dish which the beam width is quite broad and hellas @ 39 degrees is giving him problems this is quite common now and has been for the last 9 months,he might have to change his dish i done a couple for turksat when i was in the uk in the last two weeks and used a gemini 80 with a sharp .3db lnb no problems that was near Brighton

I've had Hellas and Turksat on a 64, testing:)

if you read the whole the thread then you would know what is going on
NTV,Cine5,Kral,ATV, Show TV,Euroturk, SkyTurk, these channels are on the same or near transponders as Hellas, Hellas transponders are stronger than that of turksat at the top end of the band
i did not say you cannot get turksat on a 64cm dish though i would like to see you try to get the above channels on that size dish.

Just checked lyngsat for those channels listed at the begining of the topic all fta NBA is in biss that is if you like basket ball.

Yes, it might have been in biss, but I don't remember putting any biss keys in for it, they may have got there with the software. I will check a bit later.

Shows 50-75cm for S1 beam according to lyngsat. That maybe worth a try I suppose:)

When I tested it I was using a TD64 with a 0.6dB feed yesterday:) can't remember which Tp I was watching off hand now.

hi gaz going to install a triax 1.1 which has been kicking around the gararge. this should give me a narrow beam which should help. might be a little over kill but i have had problems on the s1 beam with a 1 meter dish. probably best to manually install missing channels.

the 1.1mtr works fine the beamwidth is pretty tight i dont't know off hand what it is the bigger the dish the tighter the beamwith and the more gain it has, you say its been kicking around i hope not,the only thing i did find when using this dish is be carefull not to knock or bend the arm
out of place otherwise is will give you a simular effect of what you are trying to aviod
i seen this on a spectrum analyser you can be worse of if the arm is not at the lnb's focal point.

a couple of other points not to miss out onis the lnb make sure it has a good cross polarisation isolation and the skew is very important and the dish has had no bang's or dent's

one thing i forgot to mention is align the dish to turk sat then on the transponder you want ie show turk or atv europe i see from your profile you are using a promax your find this a lot better.

best of luck let us know how you get on

Gary

the bigger the dish the harder it is to alinge so i suppose it must be more directional and have a narrow beam. i will let u know how it go.
