sky viewing card

could anyone help with my problem.
I have been given a pace sky digital reciever to replace my older Grundig, and have been through the sevices 401 select, on new installation it scans for channels then phones for access then I get the message "wrong viewing card" on premium channels.do I need to telephone sky or is there anything I can do myself.

The card and Box have to be 'paired'

Only Sky can do this - best give them a call

They will talk you through how to check the box/card numbers and sort you out.
 
You will probably have to apply for a new card,through a contract with sky.Do you get channel4 and Five?if not,you probably got the old card which is useless now.
 
If you do need a new card and the old card can still get channels 4 and 5 - hold on to it.

You can sell these cards on the likes of eBay.
