SkyHD + Box intermittent information bar

Has anyone come across the information bar(Program name- following program) appearing for no reason across the Sky channels at the bottom of the screen. Does anyone know the cause or a solution? Thanks

Take the remote out of the room

Have you called the BS kyB technical bods and gone through their checks ?

They might cite a low signal on the main frequencies

Switch all the lights off in the room - does it still do it?

One of the kids spilled coca-cola on the remote and the enter button is making intermittent contact, solution take out batteries, unscrew screws and dry and clean rubber contact/button pad

slightly off topic

my mate installs virgin media and was at a customers house recently when he noticed the customers kid taking the micky out of him mam, turning the front room light ON with the sky remote!!!! the kid was using the channel up button to turn the light off and the mam was turning the light off by a toutch button switch (dont know how he was doing it but it must have been annoying changing channels with the light going on all the time)

Many thanks for all the advice, I have taken one of the older controllers apart and cleaned it, seems to have done the trick.
