This may be of help to ather members somtime.I have just built a i5 Skylake computer.
On the same day that the Skylake Bundle arrived I found out that Microsoft was not supporting Windows 7 updates on the Skylake Platform.
I installed Windows 7 and sure enough it will not update.The internet is full of questions about how to update it.After much searching I got the answer.
KB31138612 is required. it is a windows updater.My new computer is now dual booting Windows 7 both updating.
