Hi

Does anyone know if i can stream from a pc using a skystar 2 card to TV via a wireless network.I've looked at the following devices :

Linksys WMA11B media adapter
Pinnacle Showcenter
D-Link DSM 320

I've contacted support on all the above but cant
seem to get a straight answer

Thanks Pete

has your pc got a scart tv out, if so i would think any wireless tv link will work:) (if that's what you mean?)
otherwise the boffins on this site should provide an answer:)

just realised that's not what u mean:-DOH!

see here for dlink (looks good)

Thanks Bronking

I have seen that model. It does play media files off a pc onto a tv via a
wireless network but i want to broadcast using progdvb or mytheatre onto tv

I've got a PC with SkyStar 2 upstairs, connected to a NetGear WGT634U media router downstairs via WiFi 802.11g. The media router is hardwired to four other PCs, and the streaming works fine.

I also have a UniBrain IZAC, which is basically a USB hard drive that outputs directly to TV for movies, pictures, mp3 etc.

What I haven't tried yet, is to connect the IZAC to the media router and the TV simultaeneously. If it works, the WiFi segment between upstairs and downstairs should be OK, so you could do it as long as the WiFi router is sufficently close to your TV.

This would hardly be a cheap solution though!

Still, hope it helps. I'll test it at the weekend, if you're still having problems I'll post.

Sorry m8, ignore that b****x, what I forgot was that I RECORD onto the IZAC and then play it back on TV - not what you wanted I imagine...

Thanks Raasay for the info

The hard drive is interesting but its expensive

I think the only way to do this at the moment is to record
and then play back the file using one of the media players
I think the hauppauge media mvp looks good value

Sorry for the slow response Raasay

According to support at Easylife you just connect
to the vga output and away you go
One small hitch is if you have a wireless network this device
uses the same frequency but according to support you can change
channels on the pcsender to avoid inteference.

Hi Pete,

If you get one, let me know how it performs!

Best regards
