right, so I think my skystar 2 finally hit the rocks- at first just installing it was an almost insurmountable task, however now just out of the blue it lost all singal strength on all satellites. Tried dvb dream- there it says "failed to initialise dvb device errorcode:1". In the device manager it says the device is working fine. If anyone has a solution then great, however loooking at getting one of these:
DVB-S Twinhan 1027 - 52$
Sky-Star 2 - 65$
Sky-Star 3 (Original) - 60$
which one would you recommend? I think I'll get the twinhan. comes with a remote which I'll hopefully get to work somehow. Also cause of my traumatic experience with installing drivers for my skystar2- don't know if I got a defective card or something but having to reinstall drivers and stuff 10+ times in hope that one time it'll work (and that includes having to restart my computer after each install/uninstall) is just sadistic.
