Just a quick knock up photo explanation of what does what and how..
Handy to have a quick reference guide.
Just hope it's accurate ..
but it's what works for me.

Perfect. So both ports are the same but you do your own conversions from cp to lp on one of them.

Can you explain the 4 outputs or are they the same like in a quad LNB?

Yes all 4 outputs are the same ..
But I have not get managed to convert to true linear ..
and this new SL3 is even less likely ..
True linear is possible but in one polarity only..
In this case Vertical when the SL3 is placed with all three ports horizontal..
It therefore stands to reason if only one port was used and modded ..and the SL3 was positioned vertically so all 3 ports were stacked ...then this one polarity would receive Horizontal..
But that would require some tricky bracket making.

That's excellent info VS. Will come in handy when I get mine.

Regarding a bracket for this SL3 - will the one I see you made for the other LNB be OK for this one? Just wondered if they have the same bracket fixing point.

I rather suspect it really depends on the dish you are mounting it on ..
The hole spacings are the same on all SL3s ..but of course ..my recent most recent bracket was for the later SL3 but will also fit the older SL3 ..
Assuming you simply want to mount it on a curved Gibby extension multi feed bar..
If you want to mount the SL3 at the focus of you dish not a multi feed bracket ...then you will have to get your thinking cap on ..and custom make a bracket for your specific dish.
This is one instance when I cannot help ..on account it will vary from dish to dish .

No problem VS. Got plenty of scrap metal lying around. Best bracket I made was for my old SMW dish. The arm is just a hollow tube, so a sleeve, tapped to take a couple of clamping screws, was used to hold a 40mm rainpipe bracket for my BU LNB. Sliding adjustment for focussing :-rofl2

Oh ..I've no doubt you'll sort it Llew ..
To get a general feel for the mount you will be hanging the 4 'F' connectors under the boom arm of the dish ..by roughly an inch ..leaving the feeds above the arm ..
Hope that makes sense..
lol

...In fact ..that bracket in your photo will be fairly close ..turned upside down ..
the plate underneath and a wedge mounted on it ..
