First post so please be gentle.

I'm looking at buying one of the poratble suitcase systems that came from either Lidl, Aldi, Maplins or Netto. The dish LNB's are all basically the same just differnt receivers and a 12v one would be useful.

I'm down to one with a Comag (silvercrest) SL65/12 or one with SL30/12 and I'm not sure which would be the better receiver.

I'm looking to use it in on holiday for basic Astra FTA viewing possibly in Scotland so sensitivity might be an issue with a smaller dish.

Any views or the pros and cons and experiences of both would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Footnote: I've discounted the SC25 (the overgrown scart one) as it doesn't look like its got much conectivity flexibility.

I've got one of the kits (from Lidl a few years back, then it had the "PortyII" which wasn't up to scratch and always responded to my sky remote at the time), it's a superb piece of kit for the price, the only problem I have had with it is the clamp breaking, but the sucker mount works beautifully, either on the extension arm on a window or flat on a surface, it doesn't let go as long as you wet it (a soapy sponge works great)... :D

The SL65 box (not the /12 one) is a good box, I have that one, I'd say that you should go with that one, but I haven't had any experience of the SL30/12 (sounds like an older version to me)... :)

Good luck and whichever you get, you'll have plenty of fun with it... :D
