I have an SL65 portable sat in a box.

It has worked great for 2 year but now all I get is a blue screen. I have tried 2 tvs and 2 different scart leads but get nothing.

If i switch off the box i loose the blue screen and go back to anaolgue. I have seen old post with a similar issue but didnt see a fix.

Could this be a scart issue or is it simply the remote which isnt working.

Help would be aprreciated before I have to spend a week away in a caravan staring at the 4 walls.

cheers

It is difficult to know with such little information. Certainly changing the scart lead for another is an option worth checking
Does the stb boot? are any leds flashing or lit up?
Don't really understand the comment

When my SL65 throws a wobbler, the screen goes psychedelic green.

I think you have a Scart connection problem.

I am getting some kind of connection as it changes when I switch to stand by. Basically my tv switched av to analogue. I have tried another lead but get the same blank screen. Could it be the port on the back? In which case what can I do?

Cheers for your help.

Well I used to have a similar problem years ago on my portable TV, but this turned out to be dry joints on the scart socket where it connects to the main circuit board on the back of the TV, every two or three years after that they needed resoldering. I suspect it was the excessive heat produced by this TV causing the problem, This was repaired by removing the back cover and re-soldering the main board.

Unless you know what is contained inside a TV and the High Voltage dangers therin 'DO NOT ATTEMPT'.
