SLx Dish Motor Kit and Neovia NEO-VH200

I recently moved from a flat with a communal satellite dish to a semi-detached bungalow with clear sky view. While living in the flat I use a Neovia NEO-VH200 flat dish to pick up 0.8 service but was forced to remove it by the building management company.

Well now I'm in a house I want to mount this dish and have motor attached to get full satellite access. I've purchased a SLx Satellite Dish motor Kit which has diseqc 1.2 receiver operated motor)

My tuner is a pc based Windows 7 64bit Technotrend 3650CI which has worked great but looking at the specs it says DiSEqC 1.0 will this drive a diseqc 1.2 motor?

Secondly, I'm worried about the weight of all this equipment. the dish with the motor is a substantial weight. I haven't drilled any holes in my chimney to mount the dish and have looked purchasing a 30cm Cranked Bracket from Maplin. It looks quite sturdy and I know I need to use anchor bolts to attach the arm to the chimney or is this mount overkill and a standard sky tv dish mount would be just as good?

Any advise will be appreciated.

From experience there are very few cards that will drive a dish as there is quite a large load going through the power rail on a PC.The one exception I have come across is the Skystar HD model which has a seperate molex connector on board.Again it is not ideal.You current card will not drive a motor as it must be diseqc 1.2 or better.The other guys might think differently but I would never attach a motorised setup to my chimney.Just asking for trouble with the weather you experience around the UK.Look around your area and see what others have done before you make that decision.

If it is essential to mount the dish on the chimney, firstly you need to make sure that the chimney is big enough to support it and secondly, don't bolt the mount to it, use a twin lashing kit and a 2" steel mast.
 
Well that settles it. No dish on the chimney I'll motor at the back of the house lower wall. An send the motor back to the shop. Once again thanks all for the advise..
