SLX satalite signal finder

good day all
please help ,as i`m ia little new to this,just got myself a ross hd kit .can any one tell me do
i need to conect tv, receiver , and signal finder all together to find a signal or can i just conect the satalite finder on its own to the dish
 
Hi Redeye

you need connect it to the receiver and the lnb at the same time it gets its power from the receiver.
