Still out of my reach ..but the excellent conditions have allowed me to capture some sort of PID data ..
See pic caps ..
Occasionally a PID line has flashed from Red to Green ..but it's very brief indeed ..and unable to capture this event ..
Looks promising though ...and likely IS Saorsat ?
comments welcomed

Certainly looks like it VS. They're the right perameters. In which case - congrats!

Thanks Llew..
I'd be interested to hear from any member in Ireland with a TBS card to compare the PID list ..
I can't resolve anything ..but it's a start..

Checked again this morning ..
Nothing changed equipment wise ...dish still as I left it at midnight last night..
This morning ..nothing at all ?
Not even a constellation to show.
I shall of course check again tonight ..but since Saorsat is a TV service and not a feed ..it can't just come and go..
My guess ..and it's a bit of a reach ...is that the footprint varies as the bird heats and cools on exposure to Sol ...either that or it has a natural wobble ...or Saorsat is monitoring this forum and the merest hint of signal leaking as far as Manchester has got 'em frantically tweaking the footprint..
OR ..it wasn't saorsat at all ..but another parallel feed broadcast reusing the frequency and using a different spot.
..which takes me right back to my early attempts at logging Saorsat ..and my belief a second spot beam was in use over the UK.

Perhaps the other spot over the UK was off temporarily allowing the weak saorsat to creep further west?
