So You Want Receiver Software Patches?

I am trying to download the Metronic receiver update software from the http address posted in this forum thread, but the system administrator does not allow me to access it. Why is this so, even though I am a registered user (although new)?

Can you bear with me a bit and go back to square 1? I am not sure how to patch a receiver. I assume I need a special software that communicates between a PC and a receiver to deliver the patch, a null modem cable and a patch?? Is that software found on the site mentioned for each brand and what would it be called? I went to Besat site and found .bin files (e.g: GenericDT800_POSTAEKUK.BIN ) but no other software so how to do that??

Hi,

Here is the firmware for topfield 4000fi (FTA model) it include of course EMU and the keys could be updated via SoftCam.Key
So here is 2 files :
Emu_TF4000Fi.zip : the firmware include the loader (need null modem cable)
9000-4000 serisi key yukleme.ht : file used with hyperterminal to transfert SoftCam.key (I'll not give this file here Sorry...)

This version open TPS and may be polsat (not tested)

NO receiver flashes to be posted on this forum!! Follow our rules or get kicked off! I did ask long ago on the front page of this thread that NO RECEIVER PATCHES are to be posted. Analoguesat

Hi, Why is h**p://www.maslam.com/ listed under "Other Site" for Astrovox? The site has just a link to the official website? I expected to find tools that could help me with the receiver which is not from the official site. You know sometimes the unofficial site give more.
Please justify it being there, or let us just have the official site. Same help!

Thats easy Either I made a mistake when I made the list up - Remember when I was looking at the assorted web sites I just made a decision as to which part of the list any site should go into.

OR its also very possible that sites have changed since I made the list up At least 2 sites have closed down in the last few weeks. Im certainly not checking every link on that list every week

I'll remove that one now its been brought to my attention.

Ive already told you that your receiver is so obscure that even google isnt any help. The search facility on this site only throws up 3 references to "helyo" - and one of those is yours!

I think you are out of luck. If you want to play with receiver patches you need to buy something with a reasonable amount of unofficial support for it.
