I have a keen interest in files for a Spacestar DVB 500 it sure looks as if it was an FTA Ultrastar 4000 so maybe is maybe aint This is an upcomming brand of mostly Linux powered and PPC IBM CPU recievers. I sure will appreciate any info on this unit. I have googled for days but same info everywhere, WHO MADE THESE ? somewhere in Korea? HELP HELP

Have you tried doing a Google search for your receiver? I tried it and there seems to be a lot of information but mostly in what I suspect to be Russian. If you click here you will see what I mean. If you scroll down it shows you in pictures how to update things. Perhaps you do not need a software update, it may be that you just need to update keys.

does any one know where i can find the programs i need to put viacess codes in to my reciever which is a strong srt 4642 i just bought it in iraq i hear on a deploment and i would like to learn this feild for when i go back to the states thank so much if you can helpi did search all of the links for strong reciers on the first page and non showed anything for this receiver i seen info about using 6969 when main power comes on does that work for this to i tried it and it not doing anything and the main power switch is the on in the back right?

a part of updating the system by downloading via computer, there is other ways i can gain more access to different channels with my technsat 6000 plus receiver? I am not that familiar with this stuff
