Can I buy a dvb-s card and connect it directly to the Sat. dish without Set top box, and use software like MyTheatre, or DVBViewer etc to watch stuff ? I have a cable in my office which used to be used for a 2nd Sky (UK) box, still connected to the dish but unused, that I plan to use. Thanks.

You will be able to watch the free channels BBC, ITV, shopping, religion, radio stuff etc. NOT C4 or C5 as they are still conditionally scrambled.
Thanks,analoguesat, would there be any way of unscrambling the other channels? (without hardware).
Also I still have my old Sky box and the card was converted to 'free to air', it's in France at the mo' but could bring it back,would that be a better option? (though you can't swing a cat in my office, was hoping on a minimalist setup!)
