Sony wi-fi dongle set up

Hi All, I have just bought a Sony KDL-40EX703 TV and a Sony wi-fi dongle so that I can watch BBC iplayer, you tube etc., on the TV. I have it connected to a Sky+ HD box. I have tried to register the wi-fi dongle, i.e., enter the password for my wireless router but it is not working. I am at my wits end can anyone out there help me please.:confused:
 
Where are you putting the dongle? Into the Sky+ box or the tv?
 
Hi, The dongle is in the TV set. I had some visitors the other day and they had the same problem but solved their problem by updating the software on the TV. So I followed their instructions and all works ok now but thanks for responding.
 
Glad you are sorted, if using certain routers it is sometimes necessary to press the wireless association button first before attempting to connect. I went down another route and use hard wired as I was not prepared to pay the extortionate price for a sony dongle
