Hi all, My sky digibox (sony vtx-760u) has developed a sound problem over the last few days. After first switch on the sound is fine for about an hour or so, then it starts to distort (sounds like a cable fault on a microphone if you know what i mean) this gets louder and louder till you can't distinguish anything. If I change channels, it appears again after 30 secs or so. I have tried removing all scarts, audio connections and it still comes through via rf. I have tried resetting box, disconnecting from mains etc, but still nothing. I even took the cover off last night and cleaned the pcb and connector contacts with a fine brush, in case it was a dust problem. While the problem was evident I even removed the viewing card, which cured it for a min or so, then it started again. Re-inserting the card had the same effect. Seems like no matter what I do I can only cure it for 30 secs to a min by changing channels or reinserting viewing card.
