Today I've taken my 1.2m dish down and replaced it with a 1.5m dish. Have got a good signal again, and loads more channels, but with one crucial difference - there is no sound at all. Never had any sound problems before. Anyone help?

Sorry bit of a beginner here, do you mean receiver equipment?

I have a Pace digibox and an Invacom Uni Single 0.3dB LNB, if that makes sense. These items haven't changed - it's just the dish has got bigger.

Sounds like you may have inadvertently knocked one of the scart connectors, changing the dish should not produce this problem.

Rolfw,

I've checked all the connections and they work. Should I have gone through a 'new installation'. All I've done is literally take the old dish down and put the new one up, moved it around a little 'til the strength/quality looked good and hey presto - no sound.

I have never had the sound affected when replacing a dish, if you are getting a good signal strength and good picture, you should have good sound. I would still suggest checking the scart leads as it doesn't take much to slightly disconnect one. If that doesn't work, then try switching the box off at the mains and resetting.

LOL, if I had £1 for every service call I've done where it was a slightly disconnected scart lead, I'd be skint.........I normally charge them £40. :D

You are not alone. :)

Yup, it's an easy thing to especially if it's your own equipment.

You know what you've been mucking around with and go for the most difficult possibility straight away. If it had been anyone else's stuff you'd follow the logical fault-finding route starting with the easiest first.

I know - I've done it myself.
