Guys,

I am in the UK, right on the South coast, and have got eveything ready to put my motorised dish up. I have the brackets and coax in place (Dreambox 8000) ready for the dish for "tuner 4" inside the Dreambox (i have a sky fixed dish package on the first 3 tuners).

I had bought a nice lightweight 1mtr Aluminium Orbital Grey Dish, but upon assembly, seems a little too big :) , so will sell this on and get another.

It is going on almost dead south wall directly above a flat roof, so access is not a problem etc.

I am not really sure what I want with regards to which satellites, as with all this it will be a case of "as much as I can get...", so am now looking for recommendations for a GOOD QUALITY dish, approx 85 / 95cm / 1mtr max.

So requirements are:

* Good build quality
* Able to be nailed onto a Diseq Motor (as I have a Dreambox)
* Work with my Inverto Ultra LNB.

Putting dealer profit margins and therefore budget "hong kong fuey" dishes aside, which would be the dish of choice in this case?

Have seen Penta, gibertini, Triax etc mentioned - Mesh or Solid, Steel or Alu ?

As I said, price is not necessarily a driver, I just want something that performs well and will give good results etc.

Thanks

Jim

I'd go for an aluminium Penta 85, nothing will beat that at the size.

Penta 85 is my top choice for a dish of this size. Mine is steel but you might want to go for aluminium to avoid coastal corrosion.

Ok, these are the odd square dish- are these ok to go on a diseq motor ( I already have the als@t dark motor)

I was looking at these and wasn't sure of they would perform as good as say a 90/95cm 'conventional round' known brand (fracarro) etc dish ??

Penta is Fracarro :) And yes, it works perfect on a motor.

Ok, thanks for the help, so a 85cm Ferraco Penta dish will be a better option than a 90cm Ferraco round one?
