Thanks for your time guys but no I've already found these

The one I'm after is an actual image of earth as if taken from the moon surrounded b satellites at different altitudes and showing hundreds of them in the Clark belt. I'm fairly sure someone on this forum pointed it out to me when I was trying to figure out how to put up my dish etc about 2 years ago.

Rolfw - if you are a moderator please move this if you think it should be somewhere else....! Ta

How about NASA's 2D or 3D JTrack

Or a nice wall poster of the geo belt:

If the image was taken from the moon, you wouldn't see many satellites at all, as it moves along the same plane as the Clarke belt.

If the image was taken from the moon, you would only see the satellites facing you at the edge of plane of the Clarke belt.

You would have thought so wouldn't you, but the moon is on the same plane as the Sun, along the ecliptic, so depending on where the moon is around its orbit around the Earth, and where the earth is around its orbit around the Sun, you don't always get a knife on edge view of the satellites from the Moon. For example, if there was a new moon at the spring equinox, or a quarter full moon a the winter or summer solstice.

Attached is a zoomed in view of Earth from the Moon right now... Starry Night Backyard...
