Unofficial viewers watching Spice Platinum, as part of the Viasat package at 5 degrees east, have been suffering from black screen syndrome as the Viaccess encrypted Scandinavian channels switch to Videoguard/NDS.

Currently an onscreen promo instructs official subscribers to cut up and replace their existing smartcard. Onscreen instructions (11.804 GHz H, SR 27500, FEC 3/4) also informs viewers how to upgrade the popular Nokia 9800 receiver to receive Videoguard/NDS broadcasts.

Spice Platinum has proved a popular choice for hackers due to the varied line-up included British made mature content, a variety on rival services. Those wishing to continue watching should note that official 12-month Irdeto and Viaccess smartcards are available for £129 - from Sat Europa on 0845 130 3111 or via www.sateuropa.co.uk.

I happened to find a decoded picture when 'hopping' through the satellite last night.
The weekend listings really werent my cup of tea though.

Well it's best not to comment if we are receiving a cleared channel, as I have noticed that our post's are on Google etc! so anyone working for these TV sat stations can see what hackers are viewing by just typing in the key words on these engines!
