As owner of TM6000 series and now that there is little suport of Technomate from sources like DM etc

Is the sipderbox worth it, as I have heard that the free gift will expire after a year, making the box redundant or buy a gift card?

Or do I add to my TM6000 a Dragon /diablow cam and learn how to programme it.....if these are still in use today?

O r do I plunge for a dreambox HD, learn how to use it, but whixch one as the 8000 seires is too expensive.

Is there support for Deambox and plenty of patches?

Darkman has hinted that you can renew the gift on the Spiderbox, after it expires, but this hasn't happened yet. The receiver will still work, and the 9000HD has cam slots, and will still open channels, without the gift, so it's not completely redundant.
I wouldn't advise getting a Diablo Cam, unless it opens a lot more than it currently does, and support improves.
The Dreambox is still a very popular receiver, check the Dreambox section, and owners seem to like them.
In the end it's all a matter of choice, you might also want to consider the VU+ Duo, this seems to be growing in popularity.

seen a lot of all types of box's recently

Dream box,

Personally i cant stand them dm500 can have issues driving motors, Dm800 is picky and doesn't like been messed with a lot.

Technomate,

I like them a lot good little box. software basically the same as dream box but its not a clone, not seen one fail yet.

Spider box,

again i like them dunno much about after gift ends. Some do have issues with usals though but fine on 1.2 commands.

Vu+ Duo,

seen a couple lately not bad machines. Great having a twin tuner. Also if your picky over how long it takes to drive motor you can use tuner B on a static dish and tuner A on motor so which ever sat is on static dish with tune in instantly. I Know someone who used Astra 2 on tuner B on a mini Dish and tuner A was on motor
