Having lost BBC1,2 ITV and several others during the daytime and only coming back early evening during the last two days I began to wonder if the good old spider problem in the LNB had re-occurred. Our dish is a ground level 3.3metre in size but I though perhaps I was a little heavy to climb into it in case I distorted the dish. My wife to the rescue being a devout suffer of arachnophobia this was a brave decision, she got in the dish and yes a medium size spider starting to make a home in the warmth and comfort of the LNB. Using a bit of soft plastic it was enticed out, fell on my wife who screamed let go of one of the support legs and promptly slid out of the dish like a ski jump and tumbled to the ground.
All this is perhaps a timely reminder to people to spray the LNB and support legs regularly with a insecticide spray, I use Bio-Kill normally but had not done so for a few months. I now have to suffer the wrath of my wife having come into close contact with a spider.
