I was wondering, can you connect, or at least are there DVD Recorders on the market, which you can connect to a PC and use as a substitute for a External DVD Recorder drive? I'm probably gonna get a DVD Recorder, and this kind of ability would be very desirable.

No, DVD recorders can't replace a PC drive.

A DVD recorder can accept video/audio input, but not data.

Internal PC DVD drives can be bought for about £30 - cheap enough to buy in addition to a DVD recorder.

So, could you hook it up through S-Video etc, play the vid on the pc, and then record it as its playing? That'd be cheaper still in the long run :)
