1.25mt steel dish
Inverto Quad LNB
Digibox:Pace ds430N, Pace 2600C and Pace sky+ V3

I have a grundig gds200/1 sky box which I recieved at christmas (secondhand box). I recently had a tech. over to set up a 1.20m dish and align it to 2D. Tried my box but got " no signal recieved" He had a freeview box and tried and it worked. I also had a friend's sky box with me and tried it and it also worked. Double checked by looking at signal test (showing 0002 Id and 07d4 transport stream) which means that my friend's box is catching the north beam. I had tried my box at another friend's house and it gave a signal. Has it broken since then or is it that the box is too old? My other friend's box which is the one I'm using at the moment is a thomson

The power supplies on those boxes are notorious and your one has probably gone if it won't work on a known working sustem.
 
2 options for you here,I think.

Treat yourself to a brand new FTA satellite(NOT freeview) receiver (40-70 euros) if you are not bothered about any Sky packages,OR,if you want the Sky packages,treat yourself to a brand new Sky digibox suitable for weak signal areas.
 
Thanx guys. I have another friend coming to visit and he is bringing his box. If his one works, then for sure something happened to my box. I will have to buy another one as the one I'm using at the moment is not mine.

go ino default transponder & reset it

Then try it. It could have been changed in error in the past. I have seen this quite a lot with people trying to add extra channels and changing the default.
