Had a go at streaming the test on 4.8E to the PC it opens for a couple of seconds in VLC then the picture freezes, but the sound continues but splutters. At least it does sort of work.P1010010.webp

The problem with Uno is it only has 100Mbit Ethernet port. Although, UHD channels are lower bitrate than that, I doubt that the port is capable of reaching those speeds.

I get the same thing using VLC for Mac and PC using a TBS6983. If I leave it running it will update a still every minute or so. The PC is a 5 year old 2.6G quad core with its on-board video. I wondered if that was the problem so I recorded a .ts from TVE on Hispasat The .ts behaved as badly on an i7 hackintosh with a decent video card played from its internal SSD. The TVE demo is useful as it has a normal HD in the same stream. That plays OK on both computers and when streamed from PC to Mac which suggests that the TS itself is streamed fast enough and it's something to do with VLC. I tried the libde265-4 add on but that didn't work (may have more to do with my not knowing what I'm doing!) .

Perhaps if VLC tweak their software we might be able to stream it successfully.
