Strong aurora tonight across UK

The earth is getting battered by a magnetic storm tonight & aurora are being reported much further south than normal. Good photos from as far south as Northn Wales atm.

Bog all sign of anything across most of Scotland - its cloudy, misty, drizzly & all in all fairly evil! So if you have dark skies & its clear it might be worth nipping outside & seeing if you can see anything.

If theres nothing visible to the naked eye & you have a camera with a timer on it a 30 second north facing exposure might show something.

Some of the best I've ever seen here in northern Finland tonight. Even my sister in Helsinki has seen a lot.

Pretty clear here, down south but no Auroras to be seen

Can't wait to go back to Lapland at some point to see the lights again.
