Final preperations are being made for the 02:36 GMT launch (weather permiting) of the space shuttle Discovery mission STS-16 on friday the 8th December.

The launch can be seen on

Eutelsat Atlantic Bird at 12.5 degrees West
Transponder F5, channel D horizontal, F=12.652 MHz, SR=6.1113 Ms/sec, FEC=3/4

The weather got its way.... this mornings launch has be scrubed.

The next launch attempt will be at 01:47 on Sunday 10th December.

At 01:47 GMT on the 10th december the space shuttle Discovery lifted off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
