I was going to watch some news this morning and had no sat signal so i though sh*t so i checked every thing then on the feedhorn window i noticed little marks and a small hole in the feed window it seems the local birds have been having a pick at it)(-red , I think it is due to next door with all there bird feeders)(-red , I then dismantled the feedhorn assembly and it was full of moisture)(-red ,

Now the lnb is not working and the feedhorn is broken)(-red ,

I have had to replace it with a brand new feedhorn and invacom lnb nowO-no

Maybe it's beacause the temperature. When there are big changes it may broke it. I've seen it. Of course only solution is replacing it, like you've said.

My neighbors are also feeding the birds which makes them shit on my dish all the time.

They often sit on top of the dish and shit so it drops down the whole back of the dish, nasty.

I had an LNB attacked on a hotel roof, I think there is a thread on the forum somewhere, but if it was birds, it must have been something like a crow or Jackdaw, as there were also little stones inside it. :)

My Sisters LNB on here dish in France was attacked by her geese as well, I guess that they must pick up some type of ultra sonic vibration or sound from them.

Most small birds couldn't do much damage to the average feedhorn cover, apart from perhas the ones used on the Invacom LNBF.

I have one bloody squirrel running around on my kitchen roof and dish all the time..

When I try to shoo it away, the damn thing will stand on his 2 feet and give me a "catch me if you can" look ...

I feel like killing it but then I don't want the RSPB to start harrassing me...

Don't worry olisun, the RSPB definitely won't worry about you shooting a squirrel, unless you miss and hit a bird that is. ;)

I don't think that the RSPCA would say anthing either, as they are considered to be vermin :)
