Summer heatwave (!) & BBQ weather chat 2013

In the hope of some decent weather this year we are going to have a summer weather chat - even though there is still snow on the ground here and in many other places.

Spent an hour outside tidying up a bit and had a couple of light snow showers blow down the valley... :-crying
 
I've been in the garden doing a bit of pruning, myself. But the house looked so inviting with the central heating on .
 
I have just been checking my oil tank level - really touch and go if there'll be enough to see out the heating season (Somewhat extended!) and H/W for "Summer".
 
a lovely day here in sheffield the suns out clear skys. the wifes in london over the weekend so i think its the pub for me :-beer
 
Just lit a fire here as the outdoor temp has dropped to 18ºC. :-hide

However, in a sign that Spring is finally coming the field over the road now has some lambs in it, :) even though there is still snow lying on it. :(
 
Third beautiful day in a row here, so just off for a post prandial perambulation.

I told SWMBO (We're looking at another hol to Lorca soon) and she said "Gosh, is that all. They must be feeling the cold"

You just can't win.
 
Last Easter I opened up our pool and readied it for summer, going to have to wait for the ice to melt before I do it this year! Been out in the garden swapping an actuator on the 1.8 but gave up when the snow got too heavy to be comfortable, bad enough wearng hat and gloves but I'm not putting on goggles too FFS.
 
Fed up of the cold so we have dug out the dvd of the Michael Caine film Water set on a Caribbean island :)
 
Just got back from our walk and it is really nice out.

Sadly, SWMBO has gone straight to bed owing to lurgy.
 
Nice and sunny here in Barnsley.6.9 Degrees.Feels quite warm after the last few days. :)
 
Only 14C today, compared to 17C yesterday, due to a gusty Mistral blowing from the north. Went to Carpentras for th giant car boot sale they have there. Wife came back with three more Santons and I came back with nothing!

I cut the grass last Tuesday and I can see that it's going to need cutting again before we leave next Saturday. Spring is definitely afoot here!

it was nice and sunny watching the owls yesterday ponti :-) but very cold, sorry m8 only a little fun :-) big games tomorrow :-) :-( ?

In Russia, they are promising temperatures of +20C this week, which is a contrast to -10C last week. Everyone is worried about all the melting snow causing flash floods. Where have I seen this before...?

Back in Blighty... been +7C here today, which was just about warm enough for me to work on my car a little. Central heating switched on "constant"....
