Motorized Triax TD110 (1.06m) x2. TM 0.1db Ku-Band & 13K C-Band. WeTek Play (Ku & C-Band), Technomate TM7102 (Ku & C-Band), Openbox S2 Mini (Ku-Band). Basic PC but with Fausto EMU & vplug server installed.

WS International 741U - I've been using a DMS International BSC421 (13K) which I believe is similair to the WS International ESX241 model (C-Band Only), quite satisfied with its results although I would like a little bit more out of 5W.

So I got a friend of mine to make a larger Dilectric plate out of cutting board (see Vipersan's thread), which did look as if it delivered a little bit more (but potentially only the same as moving the scalar slightly forward). I've asked my friend to make one of Pride's plates, next.

In the process of testing the cutting board one the original Dilectric Plate had to be destroyed (it was wedged in too tight and wasn't for coming out!). So I've ordered a replacement plate, well LNB+Plate, the Titanium C1PLL C-band LNBF as mentioned above so will let you know.

Quite tempted to get the WS International 741U Quad Polar C & Ku Band LNBF to test also as I like the idea of getting Ku from the stronger sats as well to make better/full use out of the 2nd dish/tuner, but the NORSAT LNBFs are a little beyond my price range.

Will keep you informed of my tests with the Triax TD110 (Small 1.06m Dish) and these LNBFs

North West Yorkshire - near Lancashire & Cumbria borders.
My findings so far ...
BSC421 (13K) plus a Vipersan style T plate (and Pride style plates for some t.p,s ) has given the best results for me on all dishes that i have used for C band ... from 1 and 1.2 and 1.8 metre c.m offset dishes. and Alcoa 1.8 and Prodelin 3 m prime focus dishes ... Titanium C1PLL and ESX241 equal in second place :)

I've tested many but prefer avoiding the dual c/ku combo as I find that one of the bands usually suffers. My list of the best:

esx 242
psi x2
bsc 422

my 2 titanium lnbfs are collecting dust and will never meet my requirements for signal quality.

I´m using ESX 242, have also Titanium twin.
ESX is better in around 50 % TPs, few of them are 1-2 dB better than titanium.
Around 40 % are almost the same(max. 0,3 db difference).
Around 10 % is titanium better, especially at 10E ,8PSK,high FEC ,here is ESX totally weak.

What was the problem with the C1-PLL titanium lnb?

Test after test against regular dro lnbf, the titanium always comes dead last. I do realise that many peeps are using this as there main but it didn't perform on my 3m mesh or my 2.4m solid.

I also agree my ESX 241 is a better all-rounder than the the Titanium I have.

Quite tempted to get the WS International 741U Quad Polar C & Ku Band LNBF to test also
just be careful where you order your lnbf from empb. WSI aka galaxy marketing went under here in north America but their website is still active. several members of my other forum reported ordering by credit card and not receiving anything. detailed in this thread
Help locating a C-Band dual feed LNBF
regards
