SWMBO got an email notifying of a voicemail message from 010717770453, with an option to click to listen.

Being suspicious I booted from a Linux live CD, accessed the email and clicked it. A new tab opened, the address was http://www.pizzelli.eu/voice.html, saying 'Your file is downloading. Please wait.'

Whois.com say the domain is for sale and nothing seems to be downloading.

Any thoughts?

01071 is not a valid area code for the uk, & strangely the number doesnt seem to be an any who calls me sites.

I once tried to explain one of the Microsoft scams to a near neighbour but he told me I was talking rubbish because the caller knew specific stuff about his computer.

Even telling him that the apparently privileged and personal numbers he was presented with actually were common to umpteen million other Windoze users didn't wash.

Thus mugs are born.
