Swapped Hard Drive (with no success!)

Hi,

I recently swapped out my hard drive , (it had given up the ghost!) for a replacement- but my Sky+ box failed to boot up.

I did check to ensure that the jumper was on CS, and I know this disk is ok with a Sky+ box, as it's an unwanted drive from a friends Sky+ box, (he swapped it for a larger disk).

The Sky+ box lights stay red, occasionally flickering.

Any help would be appreciated.

when you connect power to the box, hold down the left and right arrow keys whilst doing it - I think this forces a full system reset.

Undoubtedly the disk or even cable might have issues.....
