Its not unknown, but its certainly uncommon these days. The Germans used to have a lot of feeds up the top end of the band in the 12xxxMHz range
 
I have found a few feeds in the past mainly skiing, this transponder is active atm reported by William. looks like they are testing ?.

Slightly off topic i know (sorry) and neither a feed, but didn't a channel called Galaxy Sport used to broadcast on 28.2e years ago? Whatever happened to that?

I remember before getting into the hobby that there were guide's on how to pick it up
 
There are occasional feeds for Welsh football. This one was on Sunday 11 January, Bangor City v Port Talbot Town.

There were a handful of Czech stations on 28E 12607H until about 2006
 
I have been picking up feeds from 28.5 east for the last few years but it was quick & easy to scan 11450 to 11700 + 12650 to 12750 from Eutelsat 28A but this new feed is a game changer by adding feeds onto the end of existing transponders :eek:,
So when E28A finally moves from this slot & Astra 2G takes up residency here looks like we will have to scan more of the Ku band to find feeds in future being leased to Eutelsat as in theory they could be anywhere :eek:

Oh yes, they used the 28A's S2 beam aimed at Central Europe. Ócko was one of the channels I used to occasionally watch back then as I knew one of the presenters.
