My Satellite Setup
Ham radio operator (SA0FAR) with a VHF/UHF setup for communication with ham radio satellites. One omnidirectional antenna setup (Az and El) with a UHF cross-yagi antenna and a VHF cross-yagi antenna. Using SDR radios for communication - SDRplay and GPredict.

So I had a try of the TBS5927 tuner. Well not really as I plugged it in as per instructions and that was enough for me. There is no way I could put up with the fan noise, a drone that drowned out all other noises from the sat receiver, computer, CCTV receiver and even Dire Straits playing in the back ground. That was it, repacked and done. I read the reviews, some say the fan is noisy but necessary, others say its OKish but for me it spoils the fun of playing with my sat setup. These days of making systems quieter with heat sinks etc I am amazed this is the best they could do. Maybe bigger...
