I don't have the terrestrial tuners responding using either Crazyscan2 or DVBDream in my Windows 7. My latest Crazyscan2 (1.0.2.140) chucks it out - "RFScan2 failed".

I'm using the little Change Mode Tool to change from the default S/S2 tuners.

So I have to go back to the TBS6220.

Has anybody had any success with TBS6522 T/T2 tuners on Win7? or any Windows version?

I managed to lock the terrestrial signal with Crazycat2 on Windows 10.Also cable and terrestrial simultaneously. It is true that I managed to initialize both tuners after many attempts.

Oh, that's good :)

Maybe it's a Win 7 issue. Maybe the driver's broken. I won't be upgrading to Win10, I'll keep using the 6220.

Thx anyway satesco.

Sometime 6522 init via StreamReadeEx failed first-time on tuner 0. So need first init tuner 1, next swith to tuner 0.

All the tests with tbs6522 I've made on windows 10.I will move soon the new card on pc with windows 7.I hope to work also both(terr & cab) on it.I'll post the results here.
regards

Thanks for that Crazycat. I will try your suggestion. Seems satesco had to do something like that.

I look forward to your results :)

Ok now after initialising each tuner ;)

Both tuners lock onto each frequency every scan. TBS6220, not always so.

Hi Llew,

I am glad for you that you succeeded to locked terrestrial signal.I am convinced also that you may be able to use at the same time the two RF of cable and terrestrial under Windows 7.I'll come back with a response when I install the card on Windows 7.
Fingers crossed :)

Yes, that's to do next, have both tuners S/S2 and T/T2 available :)

The activation of the tuners for the four combinations(sat&sat, cab&sat, cab&ter, sat&ter) under Windows 7 is much easier than I thought. For initialization of applications you have to use,before-(step 1)ChangeModeTool and than-(step-2)Crazyscan or/and Crazyscan2,and after this step(2), you can start (step-3)dvb-s players. In other words each step should be carried in the order mentioned, because applications are ultimately dependent of StreamReaderExEx's Crazycat,i.e. Crazyscan(sat) and Crazycat2(cab&ter).Naturally,the choice of the tuners and their combination are more indicative, because the initialization is done no matter if you choose Tuner 1 for Satellite or Tuner 0 for Cable or vice versa.Works regardless of the chosen variant, but provided you follow the steps mentioned above. At least that's the only way I managed to initiating tuners and to start the applications on both OS (Windows 7 and 10).But it seemed to me that the initialization process and the choice of tuners for simultaneous reception is much better and more easily under Windows 7.
Below you can see how I did in order to initialize and activate the tuners and applications.Of course I installed the lastet driver(v1.0.0.3) from TBS.I hope to help.
How to activate the multistream-pls at 5.0W,I'll post in the following days.

That's excellent satesco. Looks to be quite an excercise to set up, but obviously fine once done. I only have one cable to each of the two S/S2 and T/T2 tuners, so just have the two tuners available when I want either, using DVB Dream or Crazyscan/VLC. Don't really need each running at the same time myself, but might try sometime.

If anyone is interested to lock Multistream PLS from 5w with 6522 card, here's how I did it on Windows 7, which is also valid under Windows 10.

1.Choosing satellite tuner with TBS ChangeModeTool,
2.Start Crazyscan,
3.Locking the signal manually on each transponder after it was inserted the same code pls(ex.root:16416),
4. Turned on dvb-s player and scan only those MIS-PLS transponders which were locked with the same code pls.(see 3).
5.Steps 3 and 4 are repeated every time we want to see the channels on transponders with another code pls(root:8 or gold:121212),those of higher bandwidth.
I used DVBDream player to illustrate the above procedure.Unfortunately you must enable the code pls using Crazyscan each time then use dvbs player.

I discovered now that SmartDVB(latest version-0.5.0.1 RC)can scan and store all transponders mis regardless of the code pls.I manually added all of these codes to transponders with mis and afterwards I scanned and locked them all :) Of course before that, you need to start Crazyscan.Another benefit is that you can restart the player and programs can be watched without having to launch Crazyscan.

I don't lock the PLS coded muxes with my TBS 6522 using Crazyscan. Blindscan just omits the scanned frequency. For instance, 11637V -

(Ignore satellite 8W title).

Same with 11509H and 11676H. (Perfectly OK with my TBS 6983).

Hi Llew,

Cannot compare tuner 6983 with 6522, the last is not so efficient as the first. 6983 tuner detects weakest signal and most of the times lock it.
I think that the signal is kinda weak on your spectrum. I don't know if that's the only explanation, but if you look on my spectrum signal line is better shaped, meaning it's stronger. I repeated the same process of locking pls that I presented above and I managed to lock not only 11636 V but also other mis-pls muxes.
Try to lock at first 11179 V and then the others.

I'm just going to peak 5W, could be a little off the spot. Always been strong for me here though on the 1.25 Gibby. don't usually have to be too precise.

Nope. Misses those muxes satesco. others perfectly scanned, plenty of dBs.

Something odd here..webp

Hi Llew,

Honestly,I don't realize why you can't lock pls muxes. Surely that the latest versions Crazyscan are valid to be used with tbs6522 card. Do not know which of these versions you use, so try to use the one with which I can lock these muxes. You can download it from here .Are both applications Crazyscan(for sat and cab/ter).
If there is no other way to solve this issue, I might try to "visit" you with TeamViewer to see what and how...:)
Regards
