Looks like the thread already exists regarding the TBS 6925 ...
Having just heard about it for the first time on aceb Cband setup thread ..

Can anyone tell me where this card can be obtained and at what sort of monies ?

Just searched on ebay ..but came back with nothing ..
The only thing I found was this list of features posted on another forum ..

so far that is ..

I'll definately read the whole thread ..and do a bit of digging for my own benefit.

1 quick question though ..
Is it only used with its own proprietory software ..or is it supported by DVBviewer ?
I have a genuine paid for version of this software ..

Feature 10 . in the list suggests it is ..but would appreciate some feedback from users..

The card works with Dvbviewer but there is no DiSEqC1.2 control, not sure about USALS I haven't tried that.

Thanks Starman ..
I suspect the fact all prices are in Dollars says it all ...
I should have widened my search parameters to worldwide ...
;)

Do I take it then there are no European or UK vendors for this card ?

...certainly ..I'll have to save 'mi pennies & raid the piggy bank for this card as it appears to be a bit on the pricey side ..

There is a german e-shop _https://www.tbs-technology.de/shop/product_info.php?products_id=14 that already sells them, at 239 euros. Actually I bought mine from BuyDVB for 188 euros (shipping included).

Yes, I also got mine from BuyDVB, same price.

Regarding the spec shown, version 2 of the board now has a different tuner which apparently won't find any SR below 1Msps - at least I don't see anything scanning those channels. The upside apparently is a faster blindscan.

I've locked an 816 SR with my version 2 but I think I have read the first version locks lower values

Yeap, maybe it won't find ultra low SR's with blind scan, on the other hand I've locked two radio stations on Eutelsat Sesat (16 East) at 12679,H,330 (Canadian Forces Radio) and 12680,H,334 (Joe FM from Belgium).

With a version 2 board? I tried those but couldn't resolve them.

Yes, with a version 2. I guess whether or not you have a lock depends also on the LNB and the stability of its local oscillator. Currently (2-3 days) I'm using a new Smart Oxid single...

OK, I'll try a holding scan on that TP. I'm using an Inverto Black Ultra LNBF.

No go. I gave Transedit scanner a PAT timeout of 10 seconds, but nothing doing.

Hi friends ..
I am either seriously commited ....or should be commited...
One or tother..

Have had some good news regarding a 32 inch Sanyo HD ready LCD I recently refurbished ...

One of my relatives is interested in buying ..which would provide funds for one of these pro cards ...

So I may well be ordering one after the weekend..

I'm a bit concerned that there is more than 1 version out there ..
Can I specify which version I want ?
..and where am I likely to get the version I specify ..?
Next question is ...which version do I go for ..
..and why is version 2 sub standard compared to version 1 ..considering its such an expensive card.

For this kind of money I want it all singing all dancing ..
Don't want to make a mistake with the purchase ..so your advice is very welcome.

Please help me with my addiction ...
;)

You should get version 2 if it's supplied by BuyDVB VS. Don't know about other suppliers. Don't think version 1 is available now.

Version 2 isn't sub-standard, just uses the latest chipset. As with most upgrades, you lose one thing and gain another, though what that means in this case I have a learning curve to climb, as I think there's more to come with this card, being so new on the market.

In any case, there's very little sub-1Ms/s stuff out there, so we haven't lost much. Although strs65 in a previous post has no problem with some ultra-low SR radio channels, if he indeed has the same card build.

Could it be possible that there isn't enough signal in your system to lock those transmissions? Besides it is quite low even in the spectrum produced by CrazyScan.

16E.png

Locking those two transmissions with TBS Recorder is also possible here.

Yes, appears to be the same version, says V2.1 in the bottom RH.

Tuner version can be seen in Streamreader.log -

I have:
Tuner IC: STB6100
Frontend / demod IC STV090x (cut 3.0)

I'll do a Crazyscan of the TP to see if it shows up.

PM sent.

Have fun with your new aquisition :)

Usually pretty speedy using DHL Express.

General info and a software downloads section can be found on the TBS site -

It would be interesting to know if Crazyscan could use both ports of the 6925 (with a dual LN:cool: or all 4 ports of the 6984  to cut down scan time.

If not, it would be a very interesting upgrade / development for the future.

6925 doesn't have two LNB in ports. It is a single tuner card, the second port is loop through...

Llew I believe the peak is somewhat low. Even for normal SR's could be proven difficult to lock.
