Found something interesting on 16E which I can't seem to get a steady picture out of

12728 H 6400 32APSK 3/4 DVB-S2

Picture is just green

Try next time to capture a sample of the mux and upload it to a file server.

To me the recording seems broken. I don't have EBS-Pro but from a dump I'd expect the complete mux. 6400kBaud, 32APSK, 3/4 roughly yields 23mbit/s. Your dump has a rate <1mbit/s. Maybe because the tool doesn't capture the null packets (0x1fff). The video/audio parameters can be read wit transedit or mediainfo. The colour of the artefacts seems to depend on the decoder. Lav -green, ffdshow -> grey ;)

Thank you, yes its clearly broken, EBS Pro loses signal every so often but the signal is very strong for 32PSK.

Good question ;)
You should have noticed in the 1st place that crazyscan reads continuous as stream type and not TS. It has to be transport stream for all known applications.

Any reasoning for drivers after .16 are very slow?

I am going to host them here just encase they disappear off TBS's website, remove the file extension .zip leaving 001, 002, 003 at the end and open in 7zip or Winzip.

I've had to compress them this way to get round the 1M limit set by the forum software.

Still on v.1.0.1.13 here remlap, works fast enough for me.

Can't remember what improvements were in the versions after this, only that which is on the TBS driver info for .16. Could do with the changelog info for the earlier ones.

Don't upgrade Llew, CrazyScan seems like a crawl afterwards.

There are complaints about drivers removing low SR scanning as well, but not sure which update introduced that.

Don't see what difference there would be, it works fine with my Win 7 64bit OS, and my Linux Mint.

Hi,

Can anyone please advise me of the file format type output by a TBS 6925 card when recording either SD or HD?

For example, is it a TS file or an MPEG file or a TRP file etc?

Or, is it dependent on the program used for recording?

Rgds
