Advice Needed Tbs6925 and Linux

Can any one recommend a Linux version that I can use so it's like media centre or like vu/dreambox.

I have read about a project installing open pli enigma 2 on umbuntu has anyone else tryed this.

I am want to run my tbs 6925 card.

OpenELEC seems popular but I have never used it. If I had a tbs card I would try to get MythTV working with it.

Triple Dragon, Dreambox 8000, Echostar AD3000ip, TBS6522,6925,6983 PCie cards.
Gibertini 1.25m motorised dish driven by the AD3000, with either Inverto BU Quad or Norsat / XMW Ka LNBs . SMW 1.05m + 3 other dishes. Speccy: Promax HD Ranger+

What are the current options for blindscanning and spectrum read out on Linux OS's?
Latest is updatedvb, which uses the v4l-updatelee repository. Instructions here -

Stv090x-scan is the name of the older version, which I'm still using in Linux Mint for blindscanning and spectrum sweep. That works well with a TBS6925, or in my case my Skystar Xpress HD card.

I see that the forum user @bema is running Tvheadend. I wonder how he likes it?

Got updateDVB working now on Linux Mint 17 after some messing about with QT compiler, UpdateDVB.pro was pointing to wrong include paths and libs :eek:

Skystar eXpress HD2 works better in Linux than Windoze, no artifacts.

My pc bios is not allowing me to duel boot :eek: I was told myth tv works really well.

Nice job with Linux ;)

Yeah that's the one. The bios is not as easy as the old ones. It was a windows 8.1 but I hated it so I put windows 7 on it and it flys now.
