Hi I have one of these cards and I am having some trouble with the diceqc to work with my switch. Can any one please help me with this. I set it to diseqc a on a ect but it does not switch it.

And my second prob is it keeps crashing the pc. But I will try and fix this first. Ps it's windows 7
 
What is the software you are using?
 
It's v 1.0.1.22 for the driver. And 3.0.0.7 for ts recorder. Windows 7 enterprise.
 
IME most DVB apps are flakey POS with poor driver and codec implementation. There's also the possibility your PC is unable to supply enough current to it which causes it to crash the app. Does the card come with a supplemental power supply connector like the Prof 8000 ships with? I always found Prog particularly buggy so switched to Dream, while it's not perfect it's a lot more stable using some carefully selected codecs although weak pixellating signals can still make it hang.

Almost a mirror comment here with the 5925 USB and found that the prog dvb tbs edition out of the box did not run well.

When I switched to the paid version of DVB Dream 2.4b, using Raw Diseqc del Motor rather than USALS, most of the existing probs disappeared thankfully.

Selected ffdshow and elecard codecs perform nicely but as you say re:- 'weak pixellating signals can still make it hang'.........I try to open a strong signal channel before moving on 'Tune', full scan or before switching to other related progs ie: EBSPro blindscan, 4T2 Content Analyser etc etc.

Also like with DVB Dream the 'Positioner' option, hardware and software appear to like each other!........all in all very satisfied.

Also found that by reading the related threads here, TBS, Ricks etc have managed by trial and error to arrive at a decent performing piece of hardware.

Anyway, best of luck to the OP with this and hope all enjoy their weekend.........UK weather sounds a wee bit better at the mo and guess that helps the hobby. :)
 
View attachment 64965 Nothing else came in the box. Just the card, remote, cd and a bit of paper. I will have another go this afternoon.

The pc could have a dodgy supply it's a 350w's I might try the card in another pc.
 
I have just tried dvb dream and it's working, now all I need is the raw diseqc for input 1/2/3/4 on my switch and it will be sorted :)

I always use DVBviewer but whatever you use get into the habit of backing up your channel settings as there are half a million settings and if anything goes up the creek (and it will sooner or later) it will send you to the loony bin trying to get it all back to working order again.
