My Satellite Setup
Sky+/Grundig decoder. Technomate TMS1500 ci+/1 metre Gibertini Aluminium dish/Smart Titanium .02 LNB/Moteck SG-2100A,1.2 DiSEqC,USALS motor,all wired in Webro WF100 cable.
My Location
Blackburn,Lancashire,England
Hi again all,a question for Technomate 1500 users,if I tell the receiver to do a search for all satellites/channels can I assume that the dish will sweep the full range of the scope of the motor (80 degrees East to 80 degrees West) I ask as I can only allow the dish to rotate as far as 30 degrees West as at roughly 35 degrees in this direction the dish comes into contact with the wall,am I correct in thinking that this is indeed what would happen and if so,is there a setting that I can alter or some other way to scan for all satellites/channels and prevent the dish from turning past 35 degrees West whilst scanning and coming into contact with the wall ? Your replies/advice are,as always, much appreciated, Regards,The Soulman.

You can set the limits for the dish in the receiver, but you may be wiser to do indidual scans on each satellite, it doesn't take that long and it isn't as if you have to do it that often.

My technomate will only scan those locations/satellites that I have stored.

I agree with Rolfw.
I have not had my receiver long, but have not used 'auto navigation'. I prefer to make sure that I am pulling in a strong signal on the individual sats before starting scan.
Also it wouldn't hurt to nudge just past your most easterly and westerly sats and set your limits.

set the limits to like 30east to 35west etc or what you can get

Ok guys and thanks as always for your advice/replies :) Which menu do I use to set the limits for East/West movement? Regards,The Soulman.

go into the motorized setting and then click on motor control and its all in there

i've never set any limits, didn't think i needed to
