Technomate 1500CI+Super or Kaon KSC 570

Hi guys,

I'm in the final stages of putting my order together and wanted to ask one final question.
I've been offerted the Technomate reciever for £85 or the Kaon KSC570 for £89. Which one do you think I should go for on my motorised system?
Also, I'm not sure if either reciever is patched. Is this easy to do?

The rest of my system will cost £75 and this is what I'm getting:
1 x Triax TD88 Anthracite Satellite Dish ( 95x88 cm )
1 x Moteck 2100A Motor With DiseqC 1.2 And GO TO X ( USALS)
1 x Maximum Universal Single LNB 0.3 db
1 x 25 metre high quality coaxial cable with 4 F-Plugs

Apart from the bracket, do I need anything else?

Can't say about the Kaon as I've never had one but the Technomate is great.
They can be patched and it's pretty easy but it does take a bit of getting used to.
If you want cheap then go for the FTA TM1000D, but would recomend the TM1500 as it has a smart card reader and cam slot as well.:)

I'd like to get some opinions as I'd like to be able to compare the 2.
Where would I find instructions to patch either receiver?

For the Technomate you can find both the patches and instructions on the Alsat website.
 
I had a Comag sl55 but it died :( and then I got Technomate 1500+ CI,
Best toy I ever bought :D- blind search, fast Ch loading, very easy to use and patch
with the rs232 com port and has a card and cam slot.

I've a TM 1500 at the min but had a KSC 570 before. I'd go for the TM 1500, the blindsearch is an excellent option, Alot of transponders on the Kaons transponder list are out of date so need updating. Also the Kaon had CBand transponders set as the 1st transponder on alot of satellites AB3 is a prime example, so you have a hell of alot of bother trying to find it as your getting no signal. Not important but the Kaon is alot bigger than the Technomate, on the Kaons favour, patches are available from alot of different sources where as if went out and got hit by a bus you'd be screwed with a Technomate as only he can make patches
 
I also have a TM1500 and it is a cracking bit of kit for the money.
