Running Broadcom's latest CPU, the 1.7Ghz Dual Core lightning processor is 4x faster than the previous generation, making booting, channel changing and applications run a lot quicker! Booting time from power off takes less than 25 seconds, up to 4x faster than previous models. From Standby to on, it is instant.

With the TM-TWIN 4K, you can watch satellite channels in glorious Ultra High-Definition (UHD) with HDR, 4K 2160p with Dolby Digital Plus to give you a superior audio experience. It’s also True 3D ready ensuring compatibility with future 3D formats.

USB3.png

The latest USB 3.0 ports are up to 10x faster than the previous generation of USB 2.0, allowing you to read/write data a lot quicker.

It is an Open Embedded satellite receiver which has access to plenty of Third Party applications giving you a lot more features and plugins than a standard satellite receiver.

Want to know what's happening on another channel at the same time? Now you can. With HD Picture-In-Picture (PIP), you can view 2 HD channels at the same time!

The Gigabit Ethernet Port allows data to transfer up to 10x faster than standard Ethernet Ports allowing faster streaming, file transfers, downloading/uploading...and more!

TMSDHD.png

Not leaving the Standard Definition (SD) channels behind, we’ve developed a built-in hardware 4K Upscaler to improve the picture quality of Standard Definition (SD) channels via the HDMI output, scaling the output to up to 4K resolution.

TMPVRR.png

You can use a USB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) or an internal 2.5" Hard Disk Drive to record all your favourite channels, listen to your music and watch a slideshow of your photos. Supporting the latest SATA-3 connection allowing up to 6Gb/s, twice as fast as SATA-2, hard drive performance has never been this fast (requires SATA-3 compatible HDD)!

The advanced CPU allows you to record up to 7 channels at the same time (on two different Transponders).

The silent temperature and speed controlled fan cools the TM-TWIN 4K only when needed and the speed level can also be adjusted.

It’s even Eco-friendly with 1W standby power consumption.

If is anything like their previous Linux boxes it is probably full of bugs as they never spend enough money or time to get the software working as the designer intended,

No Blind Scan either so how are you supposed to find new UHD transmissions ??? Crystal Ball :-rofl2

Why have they included 3D don't they know that this standard has been dropped by European Broadcasters,

No DVB-S2X/8PSK, :(
No Multi-Stream, :(

We can only hope that plug in's will be developed & released soon as it is not a very capable receiver atm o_O

It seems like only a few short years ago that everyone was saying 3D TV would be the next big thing in home entertainment.

Now the final nail has been hammered in its coffin, with the news that the only two major TV makers still making 3D TVs will drop support in 2017.

LG and Sony both confirmed to Cnet that none of their new TV sets released this year will be able to show 3D movies and TV shows.

"3D capability was never really universally embraced in the industry for home use, and it's just not a key buying factor when selecting a new TV," Tim Alessi, LG's director of new product development, told the tech site.

Technomate went down hill a long time ago imho, I moved on years ago, still have a few boxes somewhere, blind scan is good and accurate just takes to long,

There get there sales from people who like to CS, as that got more popular that's when it all want pear shaped for the hobbyist, when sales slow down the developers will come back to us, that's just my opinion.

This TM-TWIN 4K Twin Tuner 4K UHD Satellite Receiver has been under development for the last 4 years that is why it includes obsolete features such as 3D TV & does not include what broadcasters are now using such as DVB-S2X/8PSK & Multi-Streaming some of the missing features can be added with plug in's but some that are hardware base cannot,

Let's hope that the next satellite receiver that TM release has some of these features & a Blind Scan.

I have loved 3d since I first saw it at Expo 86 in Canada. Unfortunately the technology came to home TVs prematurely and is remembered by many for the flicker of active 3D, headaches and double images. I have a large library of 3D and now, on 4K OLED using passive 3D the picture is stable and natural and there is nothing to take you out of the narrative.

3D still exists in the cinema (just) and will continue to be developed on the 'really small screen'.

It will be given another chance in virtual gaming / eSports once broadband and local processing can cope with it, and as long as development is promoted above seamless 360 (which has its own marketplace, but is the current fad where money is thrown)

3,2,1 and.....back in the room.

Well, that's it for another 20 years

What happened to the T3 Nano as well? (I think that's what it was called, was the follow on from the TWIN O.E. I had) not listed as model.

Their motors rusted up like buggery as well, the 2600 as well as the 2300, the sheet metal of the mount attachment, rusted like it was a piece of iron left by the spray of the sea, awful.

This is what we are dealing no with accountability to questions raised,
I thought this was the point of the TM forum o_O

Let's face it to allow the Korean engineers to load info on the so called latest untested Technomate satellite technology that is 5 years out of date is a scenario for disaster,

I feel sorry for anyone who buys their 4K receiver in the last few years they have just lost touch with their customers & reality :-rofl2

Its crap, I take no pleasure in seeing their demise but it is in no question a disaster of their OWN making.

I did work on a clients TM Linux machine (9100) just before Christmas. It was actually not bad at all, the memory was limited with existing channels that were no longer on the four (fixed) satellite system but after resetting to factory conditions it did exactly what I expected and was easier to use than other Linux equipment I've played with. Didn't crash either, which was nice.

The only issue was a noisy fan which could not be turned off through the menus, unlike the 5402 box so I pulled the plug from the PCB and it fixed everything.

What would be a current 4K box that does what the Technomate promises (ease of use and capacity) and but is unlikely to deliver unless the Koreans let their customers feedback the issues ?

The Koreans only seem to transmit information the last few years they do very little re customer feedback :( Head in a bucket of sand syndrome

They must be in a time warp continuum to have included 3D as we all known that satellite has dropped this format in Europe.
